Brand New HD Master by StudioCanal From a 4K Scan of the 35mm Original Camera Negative!InFlic Story, based on the real-life memoir of police detective Roger Borniche, producer/star Alain Delon and his frequent collaborator, director Jacques Deray (La Piscine,Borsalino,Three Men to Killand more), have crafted a gritty policier, a suspenseful cat-and-mouse thriller and a frank true-crime expos. The year is 1947. When mile Buisson, post-liberation Frances most notorious criminal (Jean-Louis Trintignant,The Outside Man), escapes from a mental asylum and embarks on a bloody crime spree, Paris cop Roger Borniche (Delon,Le samoura) gets the thankless job of either bringing him in or stopping him dead. Through rooftop pursuits, alley stakeouts, nightclub showdowns and car-to-car gun battles, Borniche, a stylish and scrupulously ethical flic (French slang for cop), is forced to break the rules he usually only bends. Driven to the edge of reason, Borniche will even risk the safety of his lover Catherine (Claudine Auger,Thunderball) to put his maniac nemesis back in a strait-jacket and on death row. Deray follows in the footsteps of master filmmaker Jean-Pierre Melville (Un flic) by bringing unsentimental verve, intelligent pacing and multi-layered performances to this hard-boiled classic of 70s French film noir.Product Extras:Brand New HD Master by StudioCanal From a 4K Scan of the 35mm Original Camera Negative!NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historians Steve Mitchell and Nathaniel ThompsonFlic Story: A Eurocrime Procedural Video Essay by Will WebbTheatrical TrailerLossless 2.0 AudioDual-Layered BD50 DiscIn French with Optional English SubtitlesPlease note that IF THS TITLE COMES WITH A SLIPCOVER it is the first pressing only and that first press can end at anytime without notice. We are not guaranteeing slipcovers on this title and those with slips may have minor dents and dings which are normal and not returnableFurther, please make sure your preorder ships ASAP if you would like a slip, do not tie it up with items shipping in the futureTHIS IS A PREORDER DISC THAT IS DUE TO BE RELEASED ON OR ABOUT 10/20/26ALL ITEMS ORDERED TOGETHER WILL BE CHARGED AT THE TIME OF THE ORDERAND SHIP TOGETHER WHEN EVERYTHING IS IN STOCK.
