Fourth album from Illinois rock-country-psychedelic-folk troubadours Tractor Kings is a moody set of songs, that were a long time coming. Codes is about patterns and shapes and how humans relate to one another?in this weird world we live in. At this the same time the album is a figurative and literal travelogue, touching upon some dizzying heights and crushing depths, and how winding up somewhere in between has it’s allure. Feet on the ground is a good feeling. Gravity should always be your friend. Ten new songs, their first since 2008’s Homesick.
