Part 1 of 3

With the intent to push the project ever forward, YG embraced a creative approach that deconstructed and reinvented his own working methods and materials. Pieces were built through a process of creation, destruction and self-cannibalisation, blending sketches, ideas, and even entire compositions into bizarre new forms, stripping away excess to preserve the musics mood.

The album is the first installment in a trilogy of thematically connected works that will be unveiled throughout 2025. This ambitious project promises to explore interconnected expressions of a larger concept, building on the foundation established in The Arcane & Paranormal Earth.

Personal Note:

As I grow older, Ive found myself increasingly preoccupied with the question of legacy. Much of my work as Antoni Maiovvi has leaned into pastiche, often laced with a touch of irony or humor. Even during the early noise years, sarcasm was a defining feature. Looking back, its clear that my artistic journey has often been mediated through characters and layers of detachment, using irony as a shield rather than attempting to truly express myself.

This album, along with those to follow, marks a deliberate shifta step towards something more direct and personal. It represents the culmination of two years of relentless effort: discarding entire tracks, reworking ideas, remixing, and searching for a cohesive thread. My hope is that listeners will connect with the result and discover something meaningful within it.
